Hidradenitis suppurativa linked to other inflammatory diseases
Patients with a diagnosis of hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) have an increased risk of developing inflammatory arthritis compared with those without the condition, a large cohort study suggests.
Researchers from the US matched more than 70,000 patients with HS with twice as many patients without the condition using longitudinal claims data (such as Medicaid and Medicare) from commercially insured patients between 2003 and 2016.
