Too much information: Is the bliss of pregnancy being eroded?

Advances in pregnancy care are amazing, but all the technology is turning a joyous time into a highly stressful one

Human reproduction is an area fraught with uncertainty and potential problems. I have always been in awe of the progress that has been made in treating infertility and managing high risk pregnancies.

Since I gave birth in the 1980s the technological advances have been amazing. In those days, I don’t even recall ever having an ultrasound.
