Endometriosis is a condition that is widely misunderstood and usually pushed into the shadows of mainstream care, leaving women feeling neglected and ignored.

The average time from symptom onset to diagnosis remains far too long — about 5-7 years.

And I’ve lost count of the number of women I’ve spoken to who’ve given up telling doctors of the horrendous period or pelvic pain they experience.

“Most women get it,” they are told. “It’s normal”
