Some ‘self-reflection’ from a seasoned GP

Although past my prime, I still enjoy practising medicine and I still have a strong following of loyal patients. So, I must be doing something right.
Before my heart stops responding to my pacemaker, I feel the need to document my thoughts about what talents and skills are useful when trying to be a good GP.
Yes, this could just be my pre-emptive ‘self-reflection’ exercise for the Medical Board of Australia’s proposed changes to CPD requirements.
Self-reflection could make up to 12.5% of GPs’ annual professional education requirement in coming years, which works for me; as an older GP I’ve got a lot to reflect on.
