Could vaccine doubters scupper the reopening plan?

As we are all now fully aware, Australia was lulled into a dangerous false sense of security over the threat of the pandemic due to our incredibly low COVID-19 community transmission.
We felt so smug that in March this year, Prime Minister Scott Morrison even declared vaccination was “not a race”. 1
We’re not feeling so smug now, with the spreading of exposure sites we really are in a race to vaccinate as many people as we can, as quickly as we can.
One would think this situation would drive COVID-19 vaccine uptake to help meet the Federal Government’s newly minted targets.
