So-called vaginal rejuvenation using laser therapy is no better than sham treatment for reducing postmenopausal genitourinary symptoms, a landmark study shows.
Researchers from UNSW Sydney have compared fractional CO2 laser to a sham treatment in the largest and longest randomised trial to date, involving 78 women (mean age 57) with postmenopausal vaginal symptoms.
