Thousands of Chinese healthcare workers contract coronavirus

Chinese health authorities say 3000 doctors and other hospital staff have been infected

At least 3000 healthcare workers across China have been infected with SARS-Cov-2 (2019-nCoV) as they race to test and treat patients.

According to the Chinese Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, so far 3019 medical personnel, from 422 hospitals receiving infected patients on the mainland, have contracted the highly contagious virus.
