TGA tick moves Novavax shot closer to unvaccinated arms
It’s believed some COVID-19 vaccine-hesitant Australians may accept inoculation with the protein subunit vaccine
The TGA has approved Australia’s first protein-based COVID-19 vaccine, with GPs being told they can expect deliveries “in the coming weeks”.
On Thursday, federal Minister for Health Greg Hunt announced that the vaccine made by Novavax — which has the brand name Nuvaxovid — had been provisionally approved for primary vaccination in adults 18 and older.
