State govt calls for more doctors to join voluntary assisted dying scheme
Doctor training is underway in SA, which is the last state to introduce voluntary dying laws
Dozens of doctors in South Australia have signed up to the state’s voluntary assisted dying scheme ahead of its launch later this month.
The state government says 42 doctors have registered for the required training, but it is calling for more to join ahead of the start date of 31 January.
