Shingles pharmacy trial guidelines ‘updated’ after ophthalmologists flag error
The error could have 'delayed treatment initiation' or led to inappropriate referral, doctors say.
NSW Health has now updated its pharmacy trial guidelines after ophthalmologists picked up an error in identifying two types of herpes zoster.
The department confirmed last week that the clinical guidance governing the trial had been updated.
