Surgeon Dr Munjed Al Muderis has defended his aftercare of a patient who underwent prosthetic implant surgery after losing her legs in a terrorist attack, saying concerns demanded care from a pain specialist, not a surgeon.

He is suing the Nine Network for defamation over reports alleging negligence and high-pressure sales tactics in relation to his pioneering osseointegration surgery where a metal implant is anchored directly into the bones of amputees.
