Dr Geoff Lester was refereeing a basketball game when the chest pain and dizziness hit.
As a healthy 24-year-old, about to finish an economics degree, he was unsure about going to hospital until a friend encouraged him.
“At the front desk, the pain got so severe I hit the ground,” he says.
“They hit the red button, and all these people came running.”
