Public hospital specialists who ‘double dip’ are escaping justice, says corruption watchdog
One specialist was alleged to have billed one local health network while working at another for 10 years.
A corruption watchdog says “double dipping” salaried specialists are claiming unearned overtime and recall allowances, with hospital bosses powerless to stop them.
The allegations, aired last week by the South Australian Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC), relate to consultants working under agreements with SA Health.
