Professor Al Muderis says his medical insurance cover has been revoked for certain surgical procedures
It follows accusations by patients in the media alleging they were abandoned after surgery.
Associate Professor Munjed Al Muderis says he can no longer operate on his osseointegration patients after his medical defence organisation decided to withdraw his cover for the procedure.
On Wednesday, a colleague’s message was posted on Facebook telling patients that the orthopaedic surgeon’s insurance had been revoked for “future work in osseoinegration, including clinical consultations and surgery”.
