Patients ‘disappointed with govt’ as GPs explain limited impact of bulk-billing incentives

Doctors have launched a campaign to spread ‘the facts’ of the Federal Government’s budget centrepiece — tripling bulk-billing incentives — including posters for GP practices to explain “the true cost of providing frontline healthcare”. 

From 1 November, the bulk-billing incentive will rise to $20.65 in metropolitan areas, up from $6.60 currently, and up to $39.65 in the most remote areas due to rural loading.
