Medicare will take back rebates if imaging and pathology companies do not upload results to My Health Record in near real time, the Minister for Health and Aged Care has announced.

Mark Butler says the government will introduce legislation next month to mandate “sharing by default” for all tests and scans, with hopes to enforce the new rules from mid-2025.
