A mother and father who withheld insulin from their eight-year-old, believing God would cure her diabetes, have been sentenced to 14 years in prison for manslaughter.

Jason Richard Struhs, 53, and Kerrie Elizabeth Struhs, 49, were sentenced alongside 12 other members of their fringe religious group The Saints, more than three years after the “profoundly disturbing” death of their daughter Elizabeth.
