The murder of aspiring doctor Armina Hayat has put non-lethal strangulation in the spotlight again.
A few months before she was murdered by her husband, Armina Hayat had called a friend in the early hours of the morning wanting to know if they could take her in.
When she arrived, she had bruises around her throat, cheek, left wrist, arm and thigh, as well as finger and thumb marks on her neck.
