Meet the 20 specialists recognised in Australia Day Honours
Professor Allen Cheng received an AC, the country's highest honour, for his eminent service to public health, infectious diseases treatment and policy.
From cardiologists to urologists, 20 non-GP specialists have been recognised on Australia Day for their service to the country.
They include pioneering obstetrician Dr Richard Porter — known on TV as Dr Ric Gordon — who died in May last year.
