Major payroll tax victories loom for general practice as RACGP claims wins in two more states

The WA Government has apparently accepted that GPs are contractors rather than employees, a move that the RACGP says could offer practices some protection from the payroll tax crackdown.

And in another significant move, the college has also said that practices in NSW will be spared payroll tax audits over the next two years, although AusDoc is still awaiting confirmation from the state revenue office.
