Six hundred GPs have been targeted, including former RACGP SA chair Dr Danny Byrne.
The Department of Health and Aged Care could receive its own ‘please explain’ after Mark Butler said he would review the latest GP nudge letter campaign.
Around 600 GPs received letters last week warning them about claiming MBS items 721 or 723 for a GP care plan on the same day as item 10997 for practice nurse chronic disease care (see example below).
