One GP has been so determined to continue bulk-billing that she decided to buy a practice so she could offer free healthcare to all her patients.
Dr Homayera Noor took over the reins of a Wollongong clinic in NSW in late September, providing no-gap appointments to anyone who walks through the doors.
Her decision came after the bulk-billing practice she had been with since 2018 was taken over by a corporate medical company.
Over the next two years, most of the GPs at the practice moved to mixed billing.
