‘I’d work six months as a doctor then have six months off for the pro basketball season’: Dr Darren Ng’s story
Dr Ng is a GP, phlebologist and former shooting guard for the Adelaide 36ers.

Starting both medical school and his professional basketball career aged 18, Dr Darren Ng “didn’t have much of a life”.
“I’d go to medical school in the morning for a couple of hours, shoot off to basketball practice for two hours, come back to uni, then have secondary practice in the afternoon, and study after hours,” he says.
