Sydney’s embattled Northern Beaches Hospital looks set to be returned to state control after its private operator Healthscope proposed a handover before its contract expires.
The private–public partnership model has come under intense scrutiny following the death of toddler Joe Massa, who presented to the hospital’s ED last September.
