Government apologises to journalists for false chemo claims… oncologists still waiting

Its statement that 468 chemotherapy treatments had been cancelled as a result of the NSW doctors' strike were wrong, the government has admitted.

The NSW Government has apologised to the media for falsely declaring that 468 chemotherapy sessions had been cancelled as a result of the strike by public hospital doctors.

Last week, some 5000 doctors and staff from 32 hospitals across the state walked off the job.
