GPs should have more freedom to criticise public policy without worrying about complaints to AHPRA, the RACGP says, citing the case of Dr David Berger and the ongoing conditions on his registration.

In July last year Dr Berger was ordered to undergo education on behaving “courteously” after complaints about his Twitter commentary, including what the Medical Board of Australia described as “accusatory and emotive language” when discussing serious adverse events from the Vaxzevria vaccine.
