Dr Charlie Teo agrees confidential settlement over patient he allegedly advised to delay chemo
A patient consulted Dr Teo for a second opinion after being diagnosed with anaplastic astrocytoma in late 2015, a court heard.
Dr Charlie Teo will pay a “top of the range” settlement to a former patient who alleged his life expectancy was shortened after the neurosurgeon advised him to delay other treatments following resection of his brain tumour.
Grant Schultz, 40, launched legal action claiming he would have longer to live if Dr Teo had advised him to undergo radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
