Doctors have applauded a vaccination campaign by Victoria’s arts community as ”just beautiful’, while another viewer advises the ad should have come with an “onion chopping” warning.

The North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network (PHN) has supported a new advertisement by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, retweeting the creative effort and commenting: “Just beautiful. There are many reasons to get vaccinated. Supporting our arts community is most definitely one of them.”

The ‘Performance of a Lifetime’ campaign features performers such as comedian and composer Tim Minchin and soprano Deborah Cheetham, as well as artists from the Australian Ballet, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and Melbourne Theatre Company.

The ad encourages people to join the “ensemble effort” to get vaccinated and “give COVID-19 its final curtain call”.
