Doctor wrote 12,000 medicinal cannabis scripts in six months, says AHPRA
The watchdog said the scripts appeared to be category 5: cannabis products with a THC >98% of cannabinoids.
A doctor working for a telehealth cannabis clinic has prescribed 12,000 medicinal cannabis scripts in six months, according to AHPRA — an average of 90 patients per working day.
Three months ago, the watchdog created a rapid regulatory response unit to investigate medicinal cannabis prescriptions amid concerns about medical integrity in the industry.
