‘Completely validated’: Newspapers still defending $8 billion GP rort claims

The RACGP wants an apology, but it seems unlikely to get one.

The newspapers that said doctors were rorting billions from Medicare are digging in despite a government-funded review finding that most non-compliance was accidental rather than fraud. 

This week, the RACGP demanded that The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age and the ABC’s 7.30 apologise for “slanderous” claims in more than 30 stories they ran over months.
