It is Choosing Wisely Week.
The campaign, which has run for nearly a decade around the world, is to encourage doctors to do less — to strip out the unnecessary, non-evidenced based clinical clutter of modern practice.
We spoke to Dr Caroline West, GP and advisor to NPS MedicineWise, which runs Choosing Wisely in Australia.
We ask her about the reasons why it can be hard for doctors to change.
