Two medicinal cannabis companies have accused the RACGP of banning them from its national conference after it rejected their exhibition applications.

Andrew Heath is the product manager at Novachem, which distributes the TGA-approved cannabis inhaler SyqeAir — manufactured by Philip Morris–owned company Vectura.

Mr Heath says he applied for a Novachem exhibition, having attended last year’s conference, where medicinal cannabis companies were present.

“We contacted the RACGP conference after learning that expressions of interest had opened for the Perth conference later this year,” he says.
