Australia remains the dream destination for UK doctors

Australia’s GPs will tell you the health system is at breaking point, but this has not dampened the enthusiasm of British doctors to start a new life Down Under.
A survey of more than 4500 junior doctors in Britain, conducted across November and December, found that 33% wanted to move abroad in the next 12 months.
Almost half of these — 42% — dubbed Australia their preferred destination.
New Zealand ranked second, winning over 20% of the doctors; followed by the Middle East (9%); Canada (9%); Europe, excluding the UK (9%); and the US (5%).
