Bacterial vaginosis is an STI and reinfection from untreated male partners drives recurrence in women, says an Australian study two decades in the making.

Published in The New England Journal of Medicine, the study found that women’s risk of recurring bacterial vaginosis (BV) was slashed if male partners were treated for one week compared with treating women only.
