IV drug users often resort to other, more inventive, injection sites in the hunt for a viable vein.
Case in point, a man in the US opted for his penis, shooting cocaine directly into the dorsal vein.
The patient claimed to have done this at least twice in as many weeks with no complications.
But it was third time unlucky for the 35-year-old, who presented to ED after three days of excruciating, progressive penile and scrotal pain.
