In a rare case, doctors discovered an advanced abdominal ectopic pregnancy only during an emergency caesarean section for a patient who previously had normal antenatal findings.
The patient, aged 38 and in her third pregnancy after two prior uneventful vaginal deliveries, presented at term with stabbing pain in the right thigh and contracture of the right leg.Â
